Note: Category-I:1. Candidates with 60 % marks in B.Sc. Chemistry and B.Sc (Electronics) will also be considered for Post No. 2 & 4 respectively. 2. Mathematics at HSC (10+2) level is essential for the post no. 5. For Category-I & II: 3. Those candidates who have passed M.Sc./Degree in Engg./AMIE/equivalent or appearing for M.Sc/ Degree in Engg/ AMIE/equivalent (final year) will not be considered, and hence need not apply.

No. of Posts : Category-I: 25 Posts (SC - 3, ST - 3, OBC - 7, UR - 12), Category-II: 51 Posts (SC - 8, ST - 5, OBC - 14,UR – 24)

Age limit: Category-I:19 years Minimum and maximum 24 years as on 01.10.2010.
Category-II: 18 years Minimum and maximum 22 years as on 01.10.2010.

Stipend During Training: Rs.9300 . & One time book allowance of Rs.1500.

Physical Standards: Minimum Height: 160 cms. Minimum Weight: 45.5 Kgs. (Relaxable if the candidate is otherwise medically fit)

Selection Method: Short listed candidates have to appear for a Written Examination. Final selection and ranking will be on the basis of performance of the candidate in the interview.

Bond: Selected candidates will have to execute a bond to complete the training and serve BARC or any of the constituent Units of DAE, if offered appointment after the training, for a period of 4 years after absorption. A trainee who fails to complete the training or serve the Government for 4 years if offered appointment will be liable to pay to the Government a sum equivalent to entire aggregate amount of stipend received by him/her during the period of training along with interest there on.
How to apply



Application should be submitted in the proforma given overleaf. The Application and the outer cover should be superscribed as “ Application for Stipendiary Trainees Category ____ Discipline __________ against Advertisement No. 01/2010”. Persons working under the Central / State Govt./ Public sector Undertaking should submit their applications through proper channel. They may, however, send one advance copy of the application along with enclosures as detailed given below. Completed application should be sent to the Administrative Officer-III, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Post Bag No. 01, Yelwal Post, Mysore-571 130 so as to reach not later than 20.12.2010.
